World renowned production, and activism team Supreme Street are sending a group of 7th-10th graders to see the critically acclaimed film Selma. Supreme Street founder Lawrence Parker told our staff,
"It's very important that our kids see this movie. Understanding the sacrifice, hard work and planning of our past leaders is vital for changing their future. They must also understand this was not "fiction," but a reality down south."
Project Selma is sponsoring 100 of our inner city youth to see the acclaimed film this Saturday, January 17th at the AMC Clearview Palace 12, located at 4486 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA.
